Created by Prince Harry in 2014, the Invictus Games’ goal is to "celebrate the unconquered human spirit and shine a spotlight on these men and women who served (...) and offers a recovery pathway."
The international competition is for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women (WIS). By competiting, the vision of the games is to offer them "post-traumatic growth" enabling them to "reclaim their purpose, identity and future, beyond injury."
They carry high the common values of sports and the army’s : commitment, respect, courage, resilience and offer athletes a chance to push their limits.
France’s team has been competing since the very first edition, in 2014.
The Vancouver Whistler Games will take place February 8 - 16, 2025. For the first time ever, this edition will host both summer and winter events, the summer ones in Vancouver and the winter ones in Whistler.
