COVID 19 : event postponed
COVID 19 : event postponed. The gourmet festival celebrating French gastronomy and held across the globe is scheduled for spring 2021.

Goût de/Good France

Over the years, Goût de/Good France has become an essential gastronomic event, as it promotes France around the world by combining tourist attractiveness, international promotion of products and emblems of French culinary heritage.

Goût de/Good France is a demonstration of cuisine which is firmly rooted in its time and is sensitive to the needs of today: respecting our planet and healthy eating. Visitors from France and abroad will be able to sample tasty food which showcases not only local farmers and produce, but also socially responsible cuisine focusing on environmental protection.

Centre-Val de Loire region spotlight

After Nouvelle Aquitaine and Provence, Goût de/Good France will feature Centre-Val de Loire in a series of events in France and abroad. In many ways, the gastronomy of Centre-Val de Loire epitomizes the art of living à la française. It was in that region, in Tours, that ten years ago the European Institute for the History and Cultures of Food initiated and promoted the inscription of the Gastronomic Meal of the French on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.

Gastronomical meal of the French

2020 marked by the 10th anniversary of the inscription of the Gastronomic Meal of the French on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. This heritage and this French customary social practice is spread well beyond its borders, in its uniqueness and its diversity. By bringing together nearly 350,000 people to enjoy thousands of dinners à la française, Goût de/Good France proudly shares the values of French gastronomy each year.

This event was initiated by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs as well as Alain Ducasse and Guy Savoy.
