Saskatoon’s 11th International Francophone Film Festival [fr]
In collaboration with Canadian Heritage and the Consulate general of France in Vancouver, the 11th Saskatoon’s French Film Festival will take place from May 3rd till the 7th in Saskatoon.
For five days, short and long movies in French from the Prairies, Canada and around the world will be showed with sub-titles in English. The festival is directed at everyone and Director Benoit Goubot is also offering discounted rates for newcomers, immigrant and refugees, French-speaking or not.
The Festival’s main goal is to promote the French language in Western Canada thus special school programs for French Immersion and Francophones schools, but also Core and Intensive French programs of the Province. 1080 students were registered last year and 2100 are for this year.
There will also be a special screening & activities for families with the movie "Nicholas on holidays".
