Public lectures and roundtables : "Uncovering the Female Sexual Anatomy: depictions and discourses" (May 12- June 9) [fr]

Between May 12 and June 9, the University of Victoria, with the support of our scientific and university cooperation service, is organizing public lectures and roundtables on the female sexual anatomy, "Uncovering the Female Sexual Anatomy: depictions and discourses, 16th-21st C.", both for academics and a wider public.

In addition to our compatriote Professor and Arts Co-op Adviser at the French Department, Hélène Cazes, several French nationals will take part in this France-Canada exchange, some from French universities, as well as from Musée d’Orsay.

Uncovering the Female Sexual Anatomy: depictions and discourses, 16th-21st C.

Gaze and visibility of the female sex: anatomy, gender, identity, performance, politics.
