Public conference: "Women in Science"
The French Scholar Series, a joint program with the French consulate and the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies (UBC), will host the CNRS Research Director at the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination in Toulouse, France. Professor Sylviane Sabo-Etienne will give 2 public lectures.
Sylviane Sabo-Etienne will be part of a panel discussion entitled "Women in Science" along with 5 other female researchers. Discussions will focused on leadership in science, career trajectories, navigating science culture, and the link between competition and collaboration. Time will be allocated to open the discussions to any topics the audience might want to cover.
