Meeting between the presidents of Sudan and South Sudan

The meeting that took place yesterday in Khartoum between the presidents of Sudan and South Sudanis an encouraging sign.

Indeed, only dialogue between the two countries is likely to facilitate the restoration of peace and stability in the region.

France welcomes the mediation efforts of the African Union and of Ethiopia on behalf of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development.
